Object history
Transferred from India Museum 1879. Slip book entry 11626: 'Kinkaub Coat [and] Trowsers [only] Jacket & Skirt / oodypore / 55 / Kinkaub probably made in Ahmedabad / Ungurka & Coat Taken out for Second Series of F-Book'. Swatches cut from the original garment (a coat or jacket) appear in John Forbes Watson's Second Series of The Textile Manufactures of India (1874) vol.401-458, no.431.
