Object history
Transferred from India Museum 1879. India Museum Slip book entry 6490: '2 samples of Woman's breast covering / Cholee / Kattywar / Price £7 for 4 feet x 3 / 1867 / Original nos. 8 / of Silk & gold / 1 sample = 15 inches long / the other returned from Norwich = 11 inches long'.
