Selendang (shoulder cloth) of silk, single ikat (type called kain limar). Purple field, with a repeating pattern, made by the weft-ikat process, of geometrical stars, lozenges, rosettes, etc., in white, magenta, dark red, orange, yellow and bluish-green. Broad at either end, with repeating geometrical motifs as follows: band of simple row of two different stylised rosettes, repeating alternately; band of 'tumpal' motif (triangles) alternately right way up and upside down; trellis section with stylised trees (?) enclosed in the spaces; colours of borders white, orange, blue, dark brown on a dark red ground. The sections are defined by narrow guard borders edged in green and orange.
