Whole quilt, decorated with trapunto work using white and blue cotton, inserted to produce a two tone effect. The design is based on cashmere shawl motifs of elongated buta, flowers and foliage and a central medallion containing buta and flowers. There is an internal border with heart-shaped floral designs. With added fringes. The paisley motif in quilting is also known as the 'Welsh pear' in Britain (often used in Welsh quilting).
