Physical description

Sequence of 19 black and white gelatin silver photographs arranged in one continuous row as directed by the artist. The sequence shows the artist's face as a child (E.974:1 to 9-2000), beginning full toned and fading to white (E.974:10-2000) and then as a young woman moving to pale to full toned (E.974:11 to 19-2000). The passage from childhood to the late teens is interrupted by relocation in the United States which is perhaps signified by the blank photograph at the centre of composition.
