Solid turban in Mahratha-style shape formed of a stiffened paper base. Top is covered with red cotton, underside covered with blue-green cotton, interior lined with undyed cotton. Surface is decorated with embroidered chevron design of metal-wrapped thread and sequins. An additional metal-wrapped cord is wound around the top and finished with metal-strip tassels.
