Transferred from the India Museum in 1879. India Museum Slip Book entry 2701: 'Muslin Pink spots / Bootea / Dacca / 55 / Sample in Show Case and also in Fabric Books.' Swatches from the original textile appear in John Forbes Watson’s The Textile Manufactures of India (1866), vol.VII, no.260. Swatches from the original textile also appear in John Forbes Watson's Second Series of The Textile Manufactures of India (1874) vol 864-920, no.877.
