Figure representing kayah, sometimes called karenni or Red Karen woman. She is depicted carrying a basket with a large jar attached to headband. Her ears are pierced for wooden earplugs. She is dressed in a short red decorated black longyi - belted with a length of tasseled cloth. A black breast cloth is drawn across her breasts and over one shoulder. Her hair is drawn into a bun at the nape of her neck round which is a necklace. She carries a bowl in her left hand and some sort of (perhaps partly broken) utensil in her right hand.
