"From the ruined palace at Rangpur, Sibsagar, built by Raja Rudra Singh, the last ruler of the Aham (Shan) dynasty." Information given in "List of Works of Art acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum during the Year 1907" London: Eyre and Spottiswoode. p.166.

Given by E.Willett, Esq., M.D.. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Museum records (Asia Department registers and/or Central Inventory) as part of a 2023 provenance research project.

From the ruined palace at Rangpur, Sibsagar, Assam, built by Raja Rudra Singh, the last ruler of the Ahom dynasty in 1698.
