The artist's name and address are inscribed in the front of the book, along with a price sticker for £16.11. A loose newspaper cutting is also in the front of the book, relating a story from a New Zealand newspaper about IV drips causing blood poisoning. The subsequent 14 pages are blank except for one postcard, a still from a D. W. Griffith film entitled 'Intolerance' (1916). The binding is red and blue with a plain cover, and lettered in pen on the spine are a series of dates ranging from 1930 to 1976, alongside the artist's name and 'Book 5'.
