Costume design for Diana Harris as The Larva in "The Insect Play". The design shows a full length female figure wearing a costume that imitates an insect Larva. The costume consists of a segmented bulky body part covering the torso from the neck to the knees, and arms and legs clothed in tight fitting white fabric that is decorated with random green spots. The figure also wears a pair of gloves with extended orange fingers, a pair of orange socks, and a pair of green shoes. The figure's face has been painted with white make-up, and the hair has been dressed in two long extended plaits tied with green ribbon.

This Costume design by Anthony Holland is part of an extensive collection of designs donated to the Theatre Museum by the artist in 1996. The design was executed for a production of Josef and Karel Capek's play "The Insect Play" at the Oxford Repertory Theatre, ca. 1940.
