Costume design for Ursula Jeans as Lady Markby in Act II of "An Ideal Husband". The design shows a full length female figure holding a blue umbrella in her left hand. The figure wears a pale blue late 19th century morning or visiting dress and hat. The dress consists of a tight fitting jacket with "leg of mutton" sleeves, and a long flared skirt. The jacket opens to reveal a high collared white blouse with a wide blue ribbon choker, which is fastened in a bow at the back of the neck. The small hat is decorated with flowers and a plume at the front. The design has been drawn and painted on a thin grey wash. Annotated by artist.

This Costume design by Anthony Holland is part of an extensive collection of designs donated to the Theatre Museum by the artist in 1996. The design was executed for a production Oscar Wilde's play "An Ideal Husband" at the Strand Theatre, 1965.
