Kendi (drinking vessel) of porcelain Of depressed globular shape with narrow cylindrical neck, a broad flange spreading below the mouth rim, and with rising, tapering spout of flattened shape with small orifice. Painted round the body in underglaze blue with a peony scroll band and with borders of meander elements and of broad petals above and below, with petals on the flange and cloud pattern onthe spout. Flat unglazed base.
