Cigarette box 1880–1900 This box, with its delicately carved decoration, is executed in the style of Kanō Natsuo. He was a renowned craftsman whose prodigious talent inspired the work of many metalworkers of his generation. At first glance the design on the box looks very simple, but its execution would in fact have required a great deal of skill.
