Object history | This is one of a collection of designs which was part of Lot 366 in Sotheby's Sale of Illustrated Books, 22 May 1997. George Bernard Shaw's play, Saint Joan, opened at the Chichester Festival Theatre on 24 June 1963. Joan Plowright played Joan. The director was John Dexter. The Theatre Museum has two other designs for this production in the Michael Annals Collection. |
