Polychrome lacquer, in red, green and buff, carved on the top with an ogival panel enclosing a full-faced five-clawed dragon pursuing a pearl, among clouds and above rocks and waves. In the corners are eight emblems and on the sides are flower and figures scrolls.
The mark of 'Qianlong' on the black base is not original.
