Object history
Made by one of the Kachin Hill Tribes of the Kindat District, Chindwin, Upper Burma.

This sword, scabbard and sling are identical with two Assamese "Khamti daos" Nos 2887 and 2898.

As originally arranged and displayed in Exhibition Road Indian Museum galleries until 1955, with some additions while in storage, case F.690
