Lamaist Temple painting (Tangka): Three deified Lamas with celestial attendants and Buddha Amitayus.

The small figure at the top is the Dhyani Buddha Amitayus (Ts'e dpag.med, "limitless life"). The large figures represent three of the sixteen Apostles (Tib.Gnas.brtan) of Sakyamuni the Buddha, as follows: Ma,p'am.pa (Ajita), with hands in "impartial" pose. Dus'ldan (Kalika), holding two gold earrings. Nags.na.gnas (Vanavasa), holding fly-whisk (Rnga.yab). The landscape background is uner Chinese influence.
