Historical significance: Ann was the niece of Sir Henry Danvers (b.1633) and great-niece of Sir John Danvers (1588?-1655); she married Sir Henry Lee of Ditchley Park, near Spelsbury, Oxfordshire in 1655 (see DNB, 'Sir John Danvers'). Their daughter, Eleanor married the first Earl of Abingdon (see Notes and Queries, 2nd ser. IX, pp. 88-89). The Hole Bequest includes portraits from the Abingdon family. See P.26-1987 and P.29-1987.
