Girdle (patka) of painted cotton. In seven fragments. Plain field with the end panels filled with closely-set rows of small twin-leaf motives and repeated in the borders. Natural ground.

  • Width: 43cm (Note: Measured during conservation assessment)
  • Length: 410cm (Note: Measured during conservation assessment. Approximate length of 3 fragments laid end to end. There is a double fold in the fabric, which has been neatly hand-stitched together, reducing the overall length by roughly 40cm. The patka would originally have measured around 450cm in length. )
