1883 South Kensington Register entry: 'DRESS PIECE. Cotton. Woven with a check pattern in yellow on a purple ground; the principal end has a narrow gold border and stripes. Masulipatam. 19th cent. L. 22 ft. 6 in., W. 3 ft. 3 in. Bought, 6s. 2107.-1883. (I.S.).'
