Garuda
Flower Stand
1825-1875 (made)
1825-1875 (made)
A typical but relatively small and simply modelled kneeling Garuda, complete with its offering tray (in this case solid 8-pinted and riveted in place). As usual he kneels on his left knee (with a snake in front of it) and his hands are in anjali mudra. The doicalbase with ascalloped edge has a suggestion of Orissa about it.
