Baby (Bala) Krishna crawling. with a ball of butter in the raised hand. His left hand is on the ground, as is his right foot and left knee and toes. His hair is in a tiered topknot and he is naked except for jewellery, including two well-modelled loose bracelets. The open sockets for eyes and a forehead mark may have been formerly inlaid. Similar hairknots and a tiny loop behind the head are also found on Krishna Venugopala images from Bengal. Bright brassy colour.
