Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Pillow cover of woven cotton, embroidered with silks. One side plain field (unbleached cotton) surrounded by a border of geometrical embroidery in aniline pink silk. The other side patterned with a repeating motif presumably of stylised plant form, with similar borders. The overwhelmingly aniline pink embroidery is relieved by touches of yellow, light green and dark blue. A pleated frill of white mill-made cotton surrounds the cover, which tied with tape at one end.
