Large cover of red-purple satin embroidered with coloured silks entirely in chain stitch. A flounce of black satin is sewn round the outside. Horizontal rows of floral sprays and standing peacocks. Every fifth row is different and consists of women, white horses and blue elephants with howdahs. The fine border has large detached flowers flanked by pairs of green peacocks between fillets of small repeated floral motives.
