Sword hilt, for a talwar, of steel inlaid with gold in a pattern of foliage and bunches of grapes; the seating processes are short and narrow and lightly fleuretted at the end; the quillons are short and end in flat domes; the grip is bellied and oval in section; the pommel is a disc sharply turned away from the grip at the edge; it is surmounted by a shallow dome and a turned knob.
