Model of a tray (Kula), woven with strips of split bamboo. Shovel shaped, with straight front. The depth increases towards the back. Diagonal herringbone plait. Used for fanning out the chaff from grain. It is also used on tea estates for separating the small light leaf or "fannings" from the whole tea leaf.
