Place of origin

This Whisper Bowl was made by Keith Brocklehurst (b.1946), a British glassmaker who uses a mixture of glass techniques. In this piece he combines cast glass and pâte de verre . He created the bowl shape by making a glass paste (pâte) and pressing it into a mould which was then fired in a kiln. His work is a form of sculpture assembled from a variety of motifs and symbols that sometimes reflect his interest in the natural world.
