Object history
Bought at Sale of Architectural Drawings, Sothebys, 30 April 1987, Lot 519.
Historical context
Ebenezer Perry, architect, lived at 39, Spencer St. Hackney, between 1833. and 1847. 'Mr Powell' was probably James Clarke Powell, whose family owned land on the east and west sides of the Lower Clapton Road, immediately south of Lea Bridge Road.
