The bowl with deep, out-turning sides and high spreading foot; the lid domed with slightly everted ring on top, which serves as footring when the cover used separately as a small dish. Bowl and cover are painted outside in cobalt blue with a landscape scene similar to that found on 18th century Chinese export porcelain. They are painted inside with a Kirin, and round the rim with a wide border of squared spirals reserved against a blue ground.

Physical description
The bowl with deep, out-turning sides and high spreading foot; the lid domed with slightly everted ring on top, which serves as footring when the cover used separately as a small dish. Bowl and cover are painted outside in cobalt blue with a landscape scene similar to that found on 18th century Chinese export porcelain. They are painted inside with a Kirin, and round the rim with a wide border of squared spirals reserved against a blue ground.
