Physical description

Plate of porcelain, painted in overglaze enamels and gilt. In the centre, the Dutch ship 'Vryburg' in full sail, ornamental gilt frame. On rim inscription and date "T. SCHIP: VRYBURG CEVOERT: DOOR: CAPITEUN JACOB. RUZIK IN: CHINA. INT. JAAR. 1756", surrounded by rococo branches tied by ribbon and surmounted by a coronet.
