Bowl of grey porcellaneous stoneware, covered with a celadon glaze. Decorated with moulded design taken from the drama "Pipa ji" (The Lute). Inside are three large radiating panels containing i) a horseman and attendant on foot, ii) two figures, iii) two figures, an inscribed cartouche attached to each scene; in the intermediate spaces are lattice-work and vases. The base has been broken and ground down.
