Plate, porcelain, painted in underglaze blue with splayed rim and recessed base, painted in Chinese imari style with parts in underglaze blue and details added in enamels. In the centre are the arms of Horsemonden, Gules a saltire argent over all fess azure charged with three leopards' faces or; crest, A leopard's head affronte, from the top two snakes vert issuant and facing the dexter and sinister the tails appearing from the mouth. All in mainly red, green, and gold. The arms are also repeated four times round the rim, and between them are trefoil panels with small Chinese landscapes joined by floral scrollwork which also frames the central arms. Round the outside on the rim are two simple flower sprays.
