Plate, porcelain, of shallow octagonal form with spreading rim, painted in famille rose enamels and gold, with the arms of Marten impaling Bidwell. The centre shows a design of two pheasants on a rock beside peonies and below the arms of Marten of Radford, Oxen, a floral wreath, Sable three round buckles or, impaling Bidwell of Thetford in Norfolk, Per saltire or and gules, four roundels each charged with a martlet all countercharged; crest, A martin passant proper (holding a buckle). On either side of the rim are painted within gilt cartouche landscapes with animals and amatory symbols.
