Bowl of porcelain, painted with overglaze enamels in the famille verte palette. Outside, chrysanthemums and peonies growing among rocks and two birds in flight. Inside, a border with four reserved panels containing the open lozenge (fangsheng))twice, and the lozenge or picture; of the intervening spaces two have a yellow chrysanthemum with green foliage on a white ground dotted with red, and the other two a chrysanthemum in green on a background of red swastika diapers. In the centre on the bottom is a red peony with green leaves.
