Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Cup and saucer of porcelain. The outside of the cup and inside of the saucer are painted in red, blue, green, dull yellow and black outline, with a lake-scene with two men in a boat, two others with a buffalo crossing a bridge, and two seated beneath a tree at a repast with a bottle inscribed 'FW', possibly the initials of a Dutch merchant for whom the cup and saucer were made. Round the inside of both pieces is a hatched border and on the bottom of the cup is a spray of flowers; three branches with flowers and foliage decorate the lower side of the rim of the saucer. The cup has no handle.
