Bowl and cover. Circular. Red lacquered, carved on the cover with a large character for 'spring' above a dish holding treasures with light radiating from it, at the top in a roundel a seated male figure and dragons on the two sides. Aound the rest of the cover, as well as the base, with landscapes in compartments. The interspaces are of lattice pattern, and of a dull green colour, as well as the whole of the undercutting.

Purchased from a source not recorded in the Asia Department registers, accessioned in 1872. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Asia Department registers, as part of a 2022 provenance research project.
National Museum of China, Haiwai cang Zhongguo wenwu jingcui (214), no. 15. Quality suggests that this would have been made for the Qing court.;;
