Painting, paint on ivory, a miniature portrait of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), founder of the Sikh Empire. Profile, head and shoulders, facing left. Green turban and coat with gold and crimson straps. White beard. Black shield on left arm. In the right hand, a flower. Background pale blue.
