Dish of clear glreen glass and circular shape. It is press moulded with foliate, floral and branched decoration on the interior and hairy pods on the exterior. It is covered in a sprayed on metallic finish of green/gold iridescence.

Physical description	Dish of clear glreen glass and circular shape. It is press moulded with foliate, floral and branched decoration on the interior and hairy pods on the exterior. It is covered in a sprayed on metallic finish of green/gold iridescence.

Gallery label	The iridescent and variegated colouring is typical of what has become known as 'Carnival' glass. It was achieved by spraying the still hot moulded glass with metallic compounds fixed with stannous chloride.
Credit line	Given by Raymond and Michel Lerpiniere
Object history	This type of glass has been called Carnival Glass by collectors since c.1960. This pattern is called 'Orange Tree' and the exterior 'Bearded Berry' by modern colelctors.
Production	Factory pattern no. 1430, known as 'salad' shape. Imported inot the UK by Charles Pratt of the National Glass Co., Charterhouse St., London.
