Physical description

Rug with woollen pile hooked onto a canvas base. There are two pieces of canvas, each one hooked as a complete unit and then joined together so that one figure is up-side-down. There is the upper half of a female figure with a coral/red fan and a mauve and white headdress on one panel and the upper half of a man on the other. He has red hair and a red beard and a black top hat. There are borders along the outer edges; part of the border is yellow dotted with colour and part if green and white.
