Brief description
Chinese shallow cup with saucer, showing European-style scenes with Classical goddesses and flowers.
Physical description
Painted enamel on copper, shallow cup with gilded rim, saucer also bound in gilt metal. The enamel ground is thick and white and the decoration is executed in full pallette. The design is evidently copied from a European model: there is a pattern of various flowers and feathering, the cup has scenes with figures of Classical goddesses such as Ceres and Flora.
