Painting, in opaque watercolour and gold on paper, portrait of a Rajasthani princess, seated upon a white marble terrace on a golden throne, facing to the right, and holding out a sarpech (turban ornament) with her right hand. She wears a gold brocade turban of Royal Mughal shape, a gold jacket, and a long striped muslin and gold robe over scarlet trousers. She wears much jewellery. Tne mount is painted within a triple arch of floral arabesque ornament and a surrounding decoration of gold and brown leacves on an undulating stem.
