Production
The series was prepared at Jaipur, about 1900, from carpets in the Royal Palaces and in the State (or City) Museum, by Rajput students working under the supervision of Sir Swinton Jacob, K. C. I. E., at the instigation of the late William Griggs, Esq., to be reproduced as illustrations (chromo-lithographs) in the 'Asian Carpets Portfolio' published by Griggs and Sons in 1905.
