Water bowl of silver, with repousse ornament in low relief. The bowl is of the characteristic Burmese shape, curving slightly inwards towards the bottom to a flat base. The upper part is decorated with three bands of petal motive, acanthus-leaf motive, and a band of scrolling and undulating leafy stems bearing rosettes. The lower body has a close vertical fluting.

Physical description
Water bowl of silver, with repousse ornament in low relief. The bowl is of the characteristic Burmese shape, curving slightly inwards towards the bottom to a flat base. Excerpt from minutes of A.D. Campbell, India Museum Director, July 30th, 1935 in Registered Papers File:- "... a silver water bowl of the Burmese "pala" shape. Mr. Cappel insists that this came from Delhi or Lucknow, but if so it may still have been made for the Burmese market".. see Donor file
