This bronze prize medal designed by Henry Mitchell, was awarded from the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition held in 1876. The obverse side, bordered with stars and medallions symbolising the four quarters of the globe, shows a seated figure of Peace, holding out a wreath in one hand and resting the other on the shield of America. On the reverse side the inscription reads International Exhibition, Philadelphia MDCCCLXXVI (1876).
