Object history note

This portrait was produced as part of Herrod's project 'The Cumbrian Connection', a collection of portraits of people all of whom had achieved some recognition in their own field and had some connection with Cumbria. Bill Grant, ex-director of the Grizedale Society is pcitured with one of the exhibits in the Grizedale Sculpture Park, 'Habitat', 1994, by Richard Caink.
