A group of Burmese manuscript artifacts all from the era of the Konbaung Dynasty (1752-1885) and probably 19th century. A royal abeydamma (Burmese Buddhist canonical manuscript) of stiffened cloth; in Pali with small Burmese square script; gilded red lacquer decorated with a lotus leaf pattern. A pair of unrelated red lacquered wood Kyan (binding boards) with floral and lotus motifs. A woven cotton zig-zag patterned binding ribbon.

Attribution note: These are the middle pages only of a much larger work which is typical as one is unlikely to find a complete manuscript of this type, leaves being scattered in many repositories. It's origins maybe royal but there are no end pages which would have given the name of the King for which it was written and the date. Opinion of Mme.
