Circular, on raised foot. In the middle a round depression, coloured green. Surrounding this and branching off to form circular compartments and a border round the edge, is a wreath in blue with intertwined yellow ribbon. In the circular compartments, in openwork and coloured brown, blue and yellow, is an interlaced monogram of Henri II of France and Catherine de Medici, consisting of two 'H's, crossed, and two 'C's intersecting. Each circular compartment is surmounted bu a bifurcated floral garland breaking into the rim. In the spaces between the circular compartments is a simpler monogram, coloured brown and left white, consisting of the letter 'H' and two 'C's intersecting. The reverse of the dish is covered with a brown glaze.
