Sepia photographic postcard of landscape proportions, showing the
donor's cousin Peter John Elmes (born 25/02/1931) as a boy, on the
beach at Westgate (presumably Westgate on Sea, Kent): he wears shorts
and a white shirt, and is sitting in the middle of a hole in banked-up
sand which resembles a fortification. The card is inscribed "from
Peter at Westgate 1937".
