cousin Peter John Elmes (born 25/02/1931) as a boy, seated on a stool
in the photographer's studio: he wears his indoor school clothes (dark
shirt and shorts with a horizontally striped tie) with knee-length
socks and lace-up shoes. The card is inscribed "Peter John Elmes.
age 5 yrs 11 mths", but the photographer has stamped it "31 FEB 1937",
when he was actually six years of age.
